🎯 WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a customer-obsessed Marketplace Team Leader to join Leroy Merlin Italy, driving the growth of the Marketplace and leading a team of Key Account and New Account Managers. Reporting to the Head of Marketplace Italy, you will support the development of medium and large sellers, lead strategic growth initiatives, and deepen your expertise in e-commerce. As a natural leader and strategic partner for sellers, you will play a key role in enhancing customer and seller experience and integrating the Marketplace into Leroy Merlin’s core processes as it evolves from start-up to scale-up. The position is based in Milan.
🚀 RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, motivate and develop a team of Key Account Managers and New Account Managers to achieve Marketplace objectives
Analyze trends, performance and market data (forecasting, sales, KPIs) to identify category growth opportunities and improve Customer Experience
Coordinate cross-functional projects with Sales, IT, Retail, Stores and Finance, working also with the Adeo headquarters on strategic initiatives
Drive business opportunity analysis to meet and exceed revenue, profitability and operational performance targets
Build and manage the commercial pipeline, lead negotiations and recruit high-potential Sellers
Act as a business partner for Sellers, providing data-driven insights and strategic support to maximize their success on the Marketplace
✅ QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
5–7 years of experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG or consulting
Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or related fields
Proven experience in leading and developing teams
Strong results orientation, entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on attitude
Excellent analytical and commercial skills
Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in fast-changing and dynamic environments
Fluent in Italian and English
